Jesus Week
Jesus Week is a week of heightened evangelism across the North Terrace campuses during Week 4 of Semester 2 each year.
While we at ES aim to be sharing the gospel on campus all year round, we spend one week of each year putting extra effort into this - hence Jesus Week!
Jesus Week sees this heightened evangelism through discussion events, Two Ways To Live-style cold-contact evangelism, sharing the gospels with friends, themed jumpers and hand-out cards, and of course Bible Talks presented by a guest speaker.
The aims of Jesus Week are:
- To preach the gospel
- To see unbelievers come to Christ
- To train students in evangelism
Jesus Week aims to make the gospel as visible on campus as possible and to provide ESers with a unique opportunity to experience an intensive mission program.
Each year a theme is chosen and displayed on very stylish jumpers which can be bought to advertise the talks. Banners, posters and business cards are also plastered around uni as advertising tools.
Other evangelistic tools and programs including dialogue events and Two Ways To Live are used during this week as well. Speak to your Bible Study Group leader to find out more about what these are like.
